Bugleweed Ajuga is a European Native Perennial Excellent for Rock Gardens or Borders
It's native to Europe. It not only has lovely, purplish-blue flowers, but the foliage is dark green with purple tints. The leaves are pretty all year round, making bugleweed excellent for a rock garden or a border. However, it spreads very quickly through underground stolons and needs to be controlled.
Bugleweed is often visited by types of fritillary butterflies for its nectar.
This perennial is also known as American Bugleweed. This perennial has green leaves, and the purplish flowers begin to bloom in May through June. These perennials are very easy to grow too. This perennial is a great way to make your home look good and stand out because no matter where you plant it, it seems reasonable and adds plenty of colors.
