Rue Anomone is a perennial plant that grows very fast from tuberous roots

Seeds should be sown in the fall in an outdoor garden or a cold frame. The Rue Anomone typically grows in partial to wooded or forest areas in the Eastern United States. The stems and leaves on this plant are dark green color. The Rue Anomone blooms in the early spring and then goes dormant for the summer. The flower will only last approximately three days. During the latter part of spring, the plant develops a fruit called an achene. These achenes become dark brown when they are ripe.
