Oxeye Daisies Are Hardy and Easy to Care For, Perennial
Oxeye daisies plants require little maintenance and provide vibrant blossoms. Fertile soil is helpful for better blossoms and healthy, green foliage. Little shade but no direct sun will provide beautiful classic daisies for a natural filler in your garden. Deadheading is essential for future heavier growth. They are short-lived perennial plants. Cut stems are long-lasting and encourage more blooms on the plant. After the last blooms in September, cut back the foliage severely to encourage growth for the following spring. In many locations, the foliage will stay evergreen all year.
Oxeye Daisy is Great for Naturalizing and Filling in Bare Spots
It exhibits white petals and a yellow center, classic detail for a daisy and light scent; it grows 2-3 feet tall and has lush green stems and foliage. The Shasta Daisy is world-renowned. For ages, it has increased in 1-2 foot clumps of deep green and pure white glory. There are several daisy varieties, and all have excellent characteristics: the Becky, Tinkerbell, Snowlady, and Esther Road, to name a few. The cultivar T. E. Killin has gained the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit.
