It is native to North America but is distributed throughout the tropics worldwide. The leaves are used for thatch; traditionally, in the Philippines, they have been used as roofing material for storehouses. Palm Sedge is a perennial grass that grows in USDA zones 3 to 9.

The Palm Sedge Is Easy To Love

You can grow Palm Sedge from seeds or rhizomes (underground stems). If you choose to grow from seed, sow them in spring or fall on top of moist soil after all danger of frost has passed. Open your plants and inspect the same day received. We offer 3 days to report any problems with your order. Bare root plants need to be planted within 2-3 days of receiving unless weather-related problems prohibit planting. Store in a cool place and keep roots moist and covered with plastic until they can be planted. Water for the first week daily after planting.
