The male tree produces brownish leaves, and the females produce green leaves. The River Birch produces beautiful leaves, and many of the leaves last through the winter season. During the spring, the River Birch and the male flowers, which are catkins, produce cylinder-looking flower clusters with little to no petals.
The cylinder cluster contains many unisexual flowers. Usually, these flowers are wind pollinated. The growth rate for the River Birch is slow to moderate. It can grow to a height of 40 to 70 feet at maturity and be as comprehensive as 40 to 60 feet. Producing a lot of shade.

Upon Receipt Of Your Plants
Open your plants and inspect the same day received. We offer 3 days to report any problems with your order. Bare root plants need to be planted within 2-3 days of receiving unless weather-related problems prohibit planting. Store in a cool place and keep roots moist and covered with plastic until they can be planted. Water for the first week daily after planting.
