Sweet Betsy Trillium is a flowering perennial that will make an excellent addition to your garden.
Sweet Betsy Trillium is a flowering perennial native to southeastern North America and is a giant family trillium.
Mature plants typically grow up to 12" tall and wide, putting on showy red flowers at roughly 1-2" in size early in the spring. The vigorous growing nature will form clumps leading to a beautiful carpeting effect.
The lovely dark red flowers are a sessile formation surrounded by three interestingly mottled leaves that look fantastic in a landscaping arrangement.
To best integrate Trilliums into your landscape, consider how the color and size of one or more plants will blend into the flower scape to create lines, borders, or accents.
The overall composition can build on elements like repetition and order to unify and harmonize the scene. Add these Trilliums to any garden, raised bed, planter, yard, or driveway borders for the desired effect.
Sweet Betsy Trillium comes back year after year.
Perennials make an excellent addition to any flower garden or home because they continue growing beyond the first season.
