How We Protect Your Plants For Transit
We sell only bare root plants. We dip the roots in tera-sorb silicone gel to retain ample moisture for transit and surround with plastic. This provides superior protection for plants in transit for up to 12 days.
Upon Receipt Of Your Plants
Open your plants and inspect the same day received. We offer 3 days to report any problems with your order. Bare root plants need to be planted within 2-3 days of receipt unless weather prohibits. Store in a cool place and keep roots moist and covered with plastic until they can be planted. Water daily for the first week after planting.

One of the most common trees you will find is the silver maple tree. This tree is among the more attractive you will see. The leaves on this tree are maple leaves which are leaves that have a triangular shape with points surrounding it. These leaves are otherwise quite attractive. They are green for most of the year but change to yellow during the fall months. Its trunk is quite narrow and is among the thinnest compared to other trees. This tree can grow up to about 40 feet in height. When looking to make this tree as part of your landscaping, it can be placed in either your front or backyard. However, it is important that you have a large enough yard as it will need some space to grow and develop.

The aptly named silver maple is beloved for the silvery undersides of its leaves that ripple and gleam when the wind blows, and the silver hues of its bark when it’s young. Even the flowers are silver. But what gardeners love about this tree is that it grows incredibly fast. The silver maple, which can grow to 50 to 80 feet with a 35 to 50-foot spread when it's full grown, grows over two feet per year. It has an extensive root system and should be planted in an area where its roots can spread out without interfering with septic tanks, underground plumbing or utility lines. It prefers deep, fertile, moist soil with an acid pH. A healthy tree, the silver maple can stand some flooding and some drought.

The red, gold and silver flowers open in earliest spring before the leaves. The fruit called samaras have twisted wide-spread wings. At 3 inches long, the silver maple’s Samaras is the largest of any North American maple. The leaves not only have beautiful, silvery undersides in the growing season but turn red and mustard yellow in the fall. They are 3 to 6 inches long, deeply lobed and deeply cut and have hairs along the veins. When the tree is young, the bark is smooth. Though the most common silver maple has a vase-shaped habit, one type of silver maple has graceful, weeping branches.
