Shipping Information

We ship all plants usps priority mail. They arrive to most locations within 2-3 days. We package all plants to retain moisture to up to 10 days in transit. All plants ships from our warehouses in Tennessee. All plants are grown and shipped from out Altamont (zip) 37301 location. We do drop ship for re-sellers also for those wanting to resell our plants.

How We Protect Your Plants For Transit

All plants are dug and immediately taken to our warehouse and tera-sorb moisture retention gel is applied to the roots and then wrapped in plastic to retain superior moisture for transit. They are placed in corogated cardboard shipping boxes for protection when shipped

Upon Receipt Of Your Plants

Upon receipt of your plants, unpack and unwrap the roots and mist with water. Plant within 24-48 hours. If you can not plant within this time frame, put your plants in a cool location (ex- basement, garage or cellar) and water the roots daily. Cover them back up with the plastic so they will not dry out until you can plant them. After planted, water every evening after the sun goes down for 5 days.


Wood Fern will make a wonderful addition to any garden or landscape 

Wood Fern, also called Dryopteris and the Japanese shield fern, are plants found mostly in the north eastern part of the United States, the eastern part of Canada or the hardwood forest in Europe. The plant has a light green color and adds a nice color to gardens. The texture of the plant is a leathery texture. The wood fern plant grows pretty quickly and is considered very easy to take care of. These plants grow to be about 3 feet tall and does not flower or bloom. Wood Fern grows best in moist, rich, acidic soil and needs to be watered weekly. These plants can grow in rocky soil as long as it has enough moisture. Many of these plants grow best by a body of water like, a stream. Wood Ferns don't function well in too much sunlight or severe temperatures and is best when it's placed in the shade.

Wood Fern is also deer and rabbit resistant and rarely have pest issues

When fall season comes, some of the plants start to turn a red or purple color. Some of the plants even turn orange, pink and bluish colors. Wood Fern is a evergreen plant, which means it keeps its leaves and remains green throughout the whole year including the winter season. There are different types of the Wood Fern plant. 

Wood Fern is one of many species of fern that are native to the northeastern United States

The Autumn Fern, Brilliance Autumn Fern, Dixie Wood Fern, and the Golden Mist Wood Fern are some of the different types. The Autumn Fern's new growth has an orange color but turns green in the summer. The Brilliance Autumn Fern turns slightly pink in the spring, which then turns to orange. The Dixie Wood Fern grows taller than other wood fern plants. It can get up to 4 feet. The Golden Mist Wood Fern's new growth is a yellowish color at first and grows up to 2 feet.

This is a small fern that grows in affluent woodland areas. Although it likes moist soil, it is slightly drought tolerant. The plant is very good at growing indoors. The best quality is the evergreen ability, so it will spice up your home and give it a great look at the dead of winter. The plant is excellent for any home or office.
