Buy Silky Dogwood Shrubs Online

Silky Dogwood shrubs are medium-sized bushes that thrive in moist lowlands, such as swamp and pond borders. They have smooth-haired leaves on the undersides and produce tiny white to yellow flowers in flat-topped clusters from late spring to early summer.

Silky Dogwood Shrubs Has Many Names

This plant is also known as Cornus amomum, Red Willow, Kinnikinnik, Indigo type, and Squawbush. It reaches a mature height of six to eight feet with a spread of six to nine feet and grows at a moderate to fast rate.

This Dogwood Has Stunning Red Bark

Native to the eastern United States and Canada, this deciduous shrub features distinctive red bark. Leaves are narrow, three to five inches long, start warm green in spring, and turn purple to reddish in autumn.

Wildlife Love the Shrub

Silky Dogwood produces abundant fruit in late summer and is often used for erosion control. Blue-to-white berries grow in clusters, about one-quarter of an inch to three inches in diameter, attracting woodpeckers, pheasants, turkeys, and other waterfowl.

This Flowering Shrub Thrives Almost Anywhere

This upright, rounded shrub tolerates various soil types, making it ideal for different gardens. Long-living and low-maintenance, it can be trimmed to any size and is resistant to severe disease or insect issues. Dark reddish twigs provide striking contrast, and the shrub brings color to gardens from spring through late fall.
