Every set includes wild-sourced mosses, lichens, small ferns, mushrooms (like Turkey Tail), rocks, and groundcovers—everything needed to form a lush, living micro-environment. Bailey personally prepares each order, and customers love her attention to detail. Because these kits are hand-collected, please limit purchases to three per order so she can keep up with demand, especially during the busy spring season.

Care and Requirements

Since the kit contains living moss and other plants, it’s essential to keep the environment humid. Avoid direct sunlight, which can dry out or overheat the plants. A consistently moist setting will help your terrarium thrive and provide a cozy retreat for small critters.

Setup and Maintenance

Your kit arrives with the live components, but you’ll need your own container and base materials. Choose a sealed or semi-sealed glass container to hold humidity. Add a thin layer of rocks for drainage, followed by peat or sphagnum moss, then soil. Arrange your living mosses, lichens, and accents—like tiny stones or twigs—to design your personal woodland scene. Mist lightly before sealing to lock in freshness.
